
Let me put it bluntly. If a customer does not like the sound of your voice or what you are saying in the first 10 seconds of an introductory cold call, the chances are very high they won’t be interested in learning more.
Even though the script is critical, let me say that the sound of your voice is even more important.
You can have the best introductory script in the world, but if your voice doesn’t sound warm, charming, engaging and interesting, is unlikely the customer will want to pursue a conversation further.
